In our move, we decided to toss our old tv cabinet. It had seen much better days. So my tv sat on a small purple rubbermaid bin for over a year. All the pieces I wanted were just so expensive and we had other projects that had to be done first. It become a joke, "Don't you love my tv stand lol."
A few weekends ago, I was surfing Facebook early in the morning and came across a dresser for sale. It was the perfect size, and we knew we could paint it to make it look how we wanted. It was in great condition, and quite a steal!
Here she is when we brought her home. Pretty, but not quite what we were looking for color wise.
I ran down to a local shop that carries chalk paint. We decided to paint her antique white and do a lot of distressing to bring out the details. All of us, and by that I mean, my husband, myself and my two girls painted her that evening. It was a fun family project. And here is the result.
Didn't she come out pretty?! We used Amy Howard Bahaus Buff Chalk paint and light and dark wax. Once we saw what we did, and realized how much fun we had doing it, we decided, sure, yea, we could do this for other people. And there was the birth of Salvage.
We currently have a booth at Southern Marketplace in Indian Trail and are taking custom orders. Take a minute to like us on Facebook to keep up with what we are doing.
